Summary
Before Zoey, when it was just them, huddling in their rooms, sneaking away in the middle of the night, hurried kisses and touching being their only physical connection, it felt like a dream. A hallucination. That her version of Rumi, the one laying next to her, dozing, or the one with her face blushed, a sappy comment having just rolled off her tongue, was something only she could see. Zoey could tell something was different, but she guessed it was them being closer, how the three of them naturally ebbed and flowed around each other.
Then, they told her, and after the sobbing and the catch-up of the past few months, they found their new equilibrium.
