Naruto returns to Konoha with one Uchiha Sasuke, but Sakura, feeling the force of her own inadequacies and desperate for the power to protect, instead takes the path once intended for him. Along the way she meets all manner of strange people, from sannin to Tailed Beasts to estranged older brothers—all of whom will leave their marks upon her, in their own ways.

Summary
This is a serious mindfuck fic about Bucky Barnes kidnapping an original character (OC) and locking her in a room because he doesn't know how to be intimate after what was done to him, so he pays the trauma forward. This is told from the point of view of the OC, and it's fairly dark in places, with a lot of piss, blood, and sitting zazen.
Chapter 10 is an essay about writing this fic, and using fanfiction to process real-world trauma.
