Summary
So nothing is okay, and everything’s okay. There’s one missing piece to the equation, and Keith’s gotten very good at ignoring it. He goes to work and goes to the doctor’s and goes to Pidge’s and the Holt’s and Shiro and Adam’s and keeps himself moving and busy. He’s got a lot on his plate; he’s trying to figure out how he’s going to raise a baby, he doesn’t have much time for anything else.
But that’s only during the day. At night, things are quiet. He lays in his windowless room on his creaky bed, tossing and turning because he can’t fucking get comfortable, and he blinks gritty eyes at the dark room and just wants. He wants warm arms, and he wants someone to get him a glass of water, and he wants someone to tell him it’s gonna be okay, and someone to hold him up cause he’s getting exhausted doing it all himself. And he doesn’t want just anyone, he wants Lance. He misses Lance.
Which is the silliest thing he’s ever heard. How can you miss something that was never yours?
(Keith, a motorcycle mechanic, and Lance, a movie star, spend one night at a bar together. They get a lot more than they bargained for.)

Summary
Maybe it wouldn’t be such a problem, he thinks, if he could just tell Lance the truth. Maybe, he thinks, then Lance would understand. And he wouldn’t get so pissed at him for almost accidentally killing himself once a week. Maybe it would be easier, if he could just be a little more honest with them both.
But the thing is, it’s not easy. If things were easy, Keith wouldn’t be out on the training deck every night until he’s so exhausted that he can’t see straight—until he reaches that point of fading out of focus just long enough for the gladiator to sweep his legs out from under him. And if things had an easy explanation, then he wouldn’t need Lance to patch him up in the hours where all of their friends are asleep. And he wouldn’t be bleeding. And he wouldn’t be hurting.
_Keith tries to navigate leadership and the messy concept of love in all of its forms—all while trying to keep the darkest, buried secrets from his past from bubbling back to the surface. It doesn’t go as well as you might expect.

Summary
Lance McClain constantly dreams of the day he'll finally meet his mysterious soulmate. They don't say much, if anything at all, but they leave him with gorgeous paintings temporarily tattooing his skin. It's not exactly the situation he hoped for, but when he feels the connection between them, he can't bring himself to resent them. As much as he wishes his soulmate would just talk to him, he's resigned himself to being patient. In the meantime, he has a loving family and good friends to help him get by.
Keith Kogane dreads the day he'll finally meet his obnoxious soulmate. He's just an art student who's struggling to find his place in the world. There's so much he hasn't been able to control in his life, and the thought of having a soulmate, just another thing in his life which he also has no control over yet can't do anything about, is a little terrifying. So he ignores the words that occasionally appear on his skin. He has other things to focus on: like being a new student at a big university where his childhood friend and step-brother go.

The boy is still in the front of the group, but he doesn't take off his glasses so Keith can't tell what he's really looking at -- either the menu or Keith. Keith feels a flash of annoyance but smothers it and pins his smile in place.

Keith isn’t great at the whole comfort thing, he doesn’t have a way with words, nor does he have much experience in way of affection. Still, when Lance hurts, Keith wants to do something to help. Unbeknownst to him, he’s much more help than he realizes. Also unbeknownst to him, he’s just as deserving of being taken care of.
Otherwise known as; five times Keith comforts Lance, and one time Lance comforts Keith.

Summary
It's a few days after the team's big fight with Zarkon and Shiro's disappearance, and both the team and the castle are still trying to recover. Things get a little chaotic when Keith comes back with a nasty head injury after a mission with Lance, and Coran gives him some "medicine" that will dull the pain. The team finds out the hard way that alcohol apparently has no affect on Alteans, but the same can't be said for Keith, who begins blurting everything that's on his mind--which, to Pidge and Allura's surprise, includes Lance.
Maybe it's just a way to cope with their loss, but the team is suddenly united by the desire to see the pair become an item, even if they have to use some underhanded tactics to make it happen.
