Summary
Atsumu hears his mom call from the living room and runs a hand over his face, trying to school his expression. When he joins her on the couch he declines the proffered ice cream, mumbling something about his workout and diet, and turns to face this week's episode. Seeing the dopey second lead run himself ragged, desperate to win the heroine’s affections, makes Atsumu want to scream until his head bursts.
He doesn’t. He sits and stays and hums in response to his mom’s commentary, and that night he slips out of bed, out the front door and down the street, and he runs and runs and runs and the tears on his cheeks feel so cold that he could swear they’re frozen on.
