Hotch’s throat felt tight. The handcuffs sat heavy on his wrists, arms pulled taut. His eyes on the gun in Foyet’s hand.
Concussed or not, he didn’t like repeating himself. “What do you want?”

“Alright Hotch. Have you heard from y/n? They didn’t answer the door or any of my texts. Hell, I even called them. I got absolutely nothing,” Morgan muttered, leaning into the door jam as Hotch went about gathering his things for the day.
Hotch’s spine stiffened, that feeling of dread slowly coiling tight in his stomach again. “No, I haven’t. Have you looked for him downstairs? You know he feels about free breakfast,” Hotch replied, chuckling to himself in a state of anxious dejection. Somehow he already knew you wouldn’t be there. He didn’t need Morgan to tell him; he already knew.
