Summary
Keith Akira Kogane was the youngest son of Kent Kogane, the only child of Krolia Kogane and the little brother of Takashi Shirogane. He was also the high school rebel, the one that always threw the first punch and the reason the police department had Krolia on speed dial. He was someone who preferred the quiet of a library or a hidden empty room, someone who loved the smell of ink and paper, someone who dreamed of being someone who mattered. Keith was all of these things, and yet he didn’t know who he was deep down. He has struggled his entire life to discover this elusive person that he is supposed to be, and yet, is still searching.
Maybe one day he would find his true calling and the meaning to all of his struggles.

Summary
Lance had met Keith back when they were young teens, both of them had left school as most boys their age did, and had been working as shoe shiners on the same block. After a few months of heated rivalry, Lance finally admitted that Keith could get a better shine and offered to pack up and leave. Instead of accepting, Keith offered for them to go into business together, saying that it was all due to a special oil he used and he was happy to share it with Lance.
It wasn’t until Lance’s mother had written saying that she had started to experience odd happenings in the factory where she worked as a seamstress, that they got into the ghost and witch hunting business. Keith had been the one to identify that a witch had cursed the owner and in doing so, had caused all of the machinery to malfunction randomly. It was Lance who had come up with the solution of finding the witch’s pouch, the source of the curse and destroying it. The owner of the factory had been so grateful for their help, he had paid them a very handsome sum of money for saving his business and Voltron Paranormal Investigations had been born shortly after.

Summary
Lance cursed as he weaved through the crowded platform, the mass of people heading in the opposite direction as to what he was going making it feel as if he was a fish trying to swim upriver. He just needed to reach the train before the doors closed, if he could do that then maybe he wouldn’t be horribly late for this stupid date that Hunk had convinced him to go on.
He had only agreed because of his soul clock. If it hadn’t had lined up with the same time as the date was supposed to happen, then Lance would never have agreed to meet up with this unknown person that Hunk swore up and down was ‘the one’. A hard hit to Lance’s shoulder from a man walking past caused him to lift his right arm to get out of the way and in doing so, he saw his clock slowly ticking down.

Summary

Keith is the next in line chief for his Dragon Hunting Tribe and is the most skilled in trapping dragons. Lance is the son of the Dragon Tribe chief and is the heir in training. He is a Storm Elemental Dragon (he can control water, air and sometimes lightning) which makes him a very rare and dangerous dragon. When Keith was a small child, he got lost in a storm and almost died after falling off a cliff, but was saved by a young Lance who had been training with his powers at the time. Both of them knew that the other was their sworn enemy, their tribes had been warring for generations, but they were drawn together and knew they had an unbreakable bond. As they got older, they would meet in secret, Lance would conjure fog and clouds to hide them, and they would talk about what they would do together if they could ever escape their families. The both know that their love is forbidden and if they are ever caught, they will be torn apart or worse.

It was the annual celebration of Christmas, a Human tradition that has gained traction among the many members of the Coalition since they had joined some three generations ago. At first, it had seemed strange, the idea of a mystic coming out of hiding once a year to give presents to children who had behaved and coal to those that had not. It wasn’t until the Human race had started to integrate with the rest of the Coalition that it had started to become more common for the mixed race children to beg their parents to celebrate it.
Now, it was such a well accepted idea that anyone could celebrate, if they chose. Of course, it was more widely accepted for those of Human blood to do so, but there were some who celebrated due to the cheer and good will that seemed to come along with the event.
One of those who did celebrate was Prince Lance, the youngest child of the King of Altea. He had heard of the tradition from his childhood playmate, who was half-Human themself, and had taken it upon himself to ensure that they had the entire palace celebrate it every year.

That is until someone new arrives on the boulevard. A tall, dark, mysterious someone who Lance would very much like to get to know, or behind, except for one little problem... He can't seem to function properly whenever this someone is around, he will either freeze completely or turn into a stumbling mess. Not a great first, or fifth, impression to be sure.

That word had used to mean something to Lance. It used to mean that if he was scared or upset he could run into his Mama’s arms and feel the warmth that she exuded. It meant that when he had been bullied at school, he could come home and talk to his Papa about how to handle the bullying. It had meant that when he had spotted a large creature roaming the property when he was 12, his Tio had taken him out and taught him how to shoot a gun.
Safe had meant everything to Lance. But the truth was that ‘Safe’ was a lie. No one was ever safe. No matter what his Mama or Papa would say, no matter how much his Tio taught him how to protect himself. Lance hadn’t been safe. He hadn’t been able to stop the attack. All it had taken was a quick nip and Lance’s life was over.
