Summary
Jack Kelly, known to all as the Cowboy, lives life on the edge as a thief. After stealing a crown and running away from the royal guards into a secluded tower, he finds himself making a deal with the (incredibly long-haired) boy who lives there.
David has always wanted to see the lanterns that appear on his birthday up close. He jumps at the opportunity to leave the tower and his strict father when a strange boy from the outside world climbs into his bedroom.

Summary
Davey feels a little lightheaded from the lack of proximity.
“Tell me your secret,” Jack pronounces each word slowly, carefully, deliberately, like he already knows what it is, “Tell me your secret, Davey. I won’t tell nobody else, promise.”
He feels overheated and tiny and oddly weightless. Jack’s stare burns into his eyes until it’s etched into the backs of his eyelids.
“I’ll tell you,” he assures him breathlessly, because he cannot recall a time that he has ever not given Jack what he wants, “I’ll tell you later. When we walk home.”
Jack gets detention, so Davey keeps him company.

Tim is prepared to take the steps necessary to ensure that Bruce will not feel obligated to adopt Tim when a comatose Jack Drake inevitably dies. But what could be better than preventing Bruce from ending up with a son he doesn't want? Bringing back the one he does.
Jason agrees to the Replacement's stupid, stupid plan to invite some strange adult man he's never met to come live with him, if only to keep the idiot alive long enough for him to serve his purpose in the Great Red Hood Revenge Scheme.
Might this new roommate situation have an impact on either of their worldviews? Surely not...

Because he’d needed to look clean and presentable to get into the public libraries. Because they wouldn’t have let a dirty homeless kid touch the books.

And Talia had made that happen for him.
(AU where, at the end of his League of Assassins training, Jason decides to go to Metropolis for college instead of going back to Gotham for revenge. Things spiral from there. The title is so sarcastic by the way. There’s nothing regular about Jason Todd.)
