Except, that isn’t true, is it? Since the very first moment that he has known of Kim Seungmin’s existence, Minho has not been alone. He is in the gunpowder permanently stained between the tiny ridges of Minho’s fingertips and the dirt beneath his shoe. There has not been a day where Kim Seungmin wasn’t lurking in his shadow.
Minho is seated at a hotel bar in Seoul, but he is not alone.
In fact, instead of haunting Minho in his peripheral, it seems that Kim Seungmin has decided to plague him in the flesh. For a horrible moment, Minho wonders if he had gotten too drunk under his own nose and began hallucinating, but then Kim Seungmin catches his eye from the opposite end of the U-shaped bar and Minho feels that compelling tugging in his chest once more. It’s such an innate feeling that this Kim Seungmin can’t possibly be anything besides real. He isn’t quite sure if this is a good or bad thing, considering that Kim Seungmin has always been the equivalent of an omen.

“Don’t tell me what to do,” Minho whispered as he held Seungmin’s hand tightly, supporting him as he struggled. He crouched down to squat next to the kneeling boy, and rubbed his back as he cried, soft tears smacking the icy pavement underneath him.
