Summary
When Rumi parts her lips with a shuddering exhale, body unconsciously leaning towards Mira's warmth, the tallest girl retreats. "Needy…" It's not mocking or accusing, just a mere observation.
Zoey, who is watching the interaction, lets out a nervous chuckle that makes Mira turn her head to her.
She does the exact same thing she did with Rumi, observing Zoey's big, doe eyes. "Cute…" Then she drops her hand off Zoey's chin.
Mira walks towards the sofa opposite the bed. She takes her leather jacket off, tossing it to one side of the couch as she sits right in the middle.
"Take your rings off." Her voice is commanding, expectant.
"Wh-What?" Rumi stutters.
Zoey lets out a pathetic little noise that catches in her throat, fingers instantly touching her wedding band.
"You heard me." Mira tilts her head, taking in the way Rumi's thighs press together. "Take your rings off." She repeats, tone with no room for argument.
And Mira waits, satisfied smirk and sharp eyes fixated on Rumi's and Zoey's hands, patient.

Summary
16 year old Rumi screamed at her mother's grave, questioning if life was even worth it, the future looked impossible now. The patterns burned all over her body, angry and glowing, the image of Celine's disgust playing like a broken record. How could the two other parts of her soul, the other hunter's that she didn't even know yet, accept her? How could she seal the Honmoon looking like a monster?
Before Rumi could do something drastic, the Honmoon helps her teleport all the way to Burbank California. Right to a certain bubbly girl named Zoey.

Rumi has to survive the United States with the help of Zoey, while trying to be a Demon Hunter. Navigating Public School as a sheltered Home School kid, trying to act normal as her demon traits pop up at the sniff of heightened emotions, and worse of all the growing feels she has for Zoey and the Foreign Exchange student Mira. Oh well worse might be the demons that still want to eat everyone but Rumi can kill them at least.

There was the sound of the door shutting. A few footsteps.
“She’s not here?” the voice asked.
Zoey dropped her voice lower, almost conspiratorial. “No. She went out—probably won’t be back for, like… fifteen, twenty minutes.”
A beat of silence. Then a quiet chuckle. “Good. Then I can steal you for a while.”
There was a nervous little hiccup of laughter from Zoey. “Wait—don’t get too close, I’m still live—”
“I’ll stay out of frame,” the voice promised, tone coaxing.
The sound of a hand brushing fabric, then a soft shuffle—the mic catching the rustle as Zoey was pulled slightly sideways. A faint smack of lips meeting. Quick. Too quick to be mistaken.
Chat slowed to a crawl.
