Summary
Sirius Black lives a lonely, exhausting life trying to keep his parents' farm afloat. He's on a sure path to self destruction until Remus, a temporary worker hired for the peak of lambing season, sets him in a new direction. But Remus must leave the farm, and Sirius's life, after only a week, and he won't say why.
Remus started to close the gap between them, but Sirius grabbed hold of his face and stopped him. If he let Remus kiss him, there would be no going back. If he let Remus kiss him, he would crack open and all the worst parts of himself would spill out. His weakness, his selfishness, his need to be touched, to be kissed.
