Summary
About to start in his new role at Cloud Recesses Medical Center, Lan Wangji picks up someone at a bar with whom he spends an unplanned, unforgettable night. The next morning, he walks into the hospital only to run into Dr. Wei Wuxian, hotshot neurosurgery attending.
Now they're colleagues, desperately trying to pretend that night never happened, even as they're drawn closer to each other. But no matter how much they attempt to outrun the traumas in their past, neither can quite forget what they were before the morning came.

Because life couldn’t possibly only be cruel enough to deposit at Jim’s side the most intelligent, incandescent, and attractive man from here to the end of the universe - couldn’t simply make that same man loyal to a fault or attuned to Jim’s every move - on top of it all, life just had to drive Jim’s head into that same fumbling brick wall every single time. He can’t even be angry at himself, only disappointed. Jim should have known that what is most important to him could only ever have been Spock.
