Snorkmaiden flickered a few more colours. Snufkin didn’t let go of his paws. Moomintroll stared at them both, still utterly at a loss.
Little My threw a handful of raspberry crumble at his head.
“They’ve swapped bodies, you great useless marshmallow.”

Before he can finish his sentence, the image cuts to an overview of McQueen’s pit crew, finally landing on a close up of his new crew chief. Gray haired and stern faced, barking instructions into the head piece. The announcer cuts him off.
“Darrell, it appears McQueen has got himself a pit crew, and look who he has for a crew chief.”
It can’t be, Smokey thinks, eyes glued to the scream. Louise has his arm in a vice grip. He can feel the crescents of her nails digging into his skin.
“Wow, this is history in the making! Nobody has seen the racing legend in over fifty years!”
For a moment the entire bar goes dead quiet, and Smokey's mind goes blank.

Dean is silent for a long, tense moment, then he gruffly says, "It's not for banishing the angels. It's to summon them. So, it doesn't—it's not to get rid of 'em, but to draw 'em in."
Mitzi can't help but glance up at him at that. His voice is so heavy with so much unexplained pain, and she doesn't understand why, or what angels have to do with it. She knows religion can impact people. She's very aware that it can get complicated, and that it can be a huge source of pain for someone, but Dean sounds grievously wronged, somehow, as if it's a truly personal thing.
She pushes through, focusing back on her job, clearing her throat before murmuring, "Well, I guess we all want angels to visit us sometimes."
"Just the one," Dean mumbles.
"Your guardian angel?" Mitzi asks.
Dean breathes out, "Something like that. As close to one as an angel will ever get."

Ive never been more glad to find a fic. I haven’t watched spn in ages and I never finished it, but it connected me with one of my closest friends ive ever had back when i was in middle school. To cut a long story short, we’ve been streaming it together and rewatching the past month or so, and I’m seeing him for the first time in years next week. To the author, if you see this- you’ve written a beautiful story that captures a beautifully melancholy but hopeful energy that’s absolutely astounding. I hope you have a great day, a great year, a great life.
