Summary
Eight of Swords: The Eight of Swords shows a woman bound and blindfolded. Eight swords surround her, seemingly trapping her in place, a symbol of the limiting thoughts, beliefs and mindset that prevent her from moving forward in her life. However, look closer: if the woman removed her blindfold, she would quickly realise that she can escape her predicament by letting go of her limiting beliefs and establishing a new, more empowered mindset. The water pooled at her feet suggests that her intuition might see what her eyes cannot.
Eve and Oksana try to build a life together. Sequel to “Ondine.” (Now let's try to imagine them a *real* happy ending -- a little fluffier than before).

Summary
In the end, there was no easy direction of escape.
Eve’s own disappearance was easier to fake: Carolyn drew up paperwork, so that she was, effectively, a political prisoner held by the British government. After a year or so, she would “die” in captivity. It was sound, as long as the paper trail was tight enough, the evidence overwhelming, the story airtight. Too many “ifs,” Eve thought. Hypotheses that could only be tested by the appearance of a new threat, which one or both of them might not survive. And how would this benefit Carolyn? Before she sat down, she picked a lemon from a tree and took the most enormous bite out of it, Eve heard. Rind and all. Eve heard: There are simply too many players in the game. When the threads become hard to count, the echo continued, then the knot becomes impossibly tangled.

So maybe customer service wasn’t exactly Ymir’s strong point. And there were downsides to the job—small children, shitty air conditioning, and shitty, shitty music. But in a small town right in the middle of the desert—a town so small that even Baskin-Robbins had yet to sink its teeth into the soft flesh of the economy—the ice cream truck business was surprisingly lucrative.

Summary
Another thing that has struck Hoseok these last few years is just how comfortable silence can be. With his parents, silence meant awkwardness, a calm before the storm, or the aftermath of a calamity. Never peaceful, never content. Never a sign of just how entwined two people can be, how at ease they can be with one another. In all his years of living, Hoseok has never enjoyed just being quite so much as he has when he’s doing it with Yoongi being right beside him.

Summary
Sometimes, as winter approaches, Yoongi feels like he’s losing Hoseok. He didn’t say as much, because it’s never his place to complain about the things that make Hoseok happy, but Hoseok knows him. Hoseok could tell, probably. It’s probably what made him grab Yoongi’s hand and hold it so tight.

(Hoseok leaves the valley every winter to explore the world. Yoongi can do nothing but watch him leave. Now, at the dawn of winter, all he wants is to feel content.)
