Summary
Will Byers is a ghost.
He doesn't remember most of his life. He knows he killed himself. That was apparent when he was watching his own memorial in the school gym. Other than that, it's all a blur.
Oh, he also runs a blog. A mysterious blog called the "Spirit Weekly". In the deepest corner of the school's attic, he found a magic computer he can write on. Now, he listens to people's drama and posts it for the whole school to read. He's not evil. He's just bored. It's boring being a ghost.
Mike Wheeler lost his best friend over a year ago. He feels dead. He would be lying if he said he hadn't considered following right after him. He couldn't do that, though. He couldn't do it to his friends and family. Not like Will did.

Summary
After stumbling upon a flyer for a shared apartment, a depressed Jonathan leaves home in the hopes of finding peace. When he discovers who the other tenant is, he considers leaving—but remaining changes things in his life.
As he studied Steve, he noticed something was different. Something about him had changed. Whether it was maturity, he couldn’t tell—but things weren’t as he remembered. For one, he looked worn out, like life had finally caught up to him. The confident sparkle in his eyes was no longer there—instead, it was replaced with something else. Something darker. Hurt. That alone was easy enough for Jonathan to identify.
Even though his instincts screamed at him to pull away—something else, something he couldn’t suppress—urged him to stay. Jonathan couldn’t decipher what it was. Desperation, empathy, or perhaps a sense of longing. Because when the two of them made eye contact, Jonathan found that outwardly, they were no different.

Summary
After Nancy drove the kids back from the pumpkin field, she was met with two grieving Hopper and El, and one devastated Jonathan Byers.
Three days after they buried Joyce and Will, Jonathan killed himself in a tub with his razor blade.
Then he woke up in Nancy's bed in 1983.
Not in a thousand years would it ever occur to him that he would be spending hundreds of deaths saving the one and only, now alive, Steve Harrington.Or: Steve died killing the Demogogan in 1983. Looks like getting the party a proper babysitter is quite necessary...
