Summary
Philza struggled to keep standing straight, dizzy from blood loss, a white-knuckle grip on his sword.
“I have heard much of you, emperor Philza, and I have respect for you. Therefore, I’ll offer you a deal. You will surrender. You will kneel before me, right here, right now, and beg for mercy. Then I’ll take you to the Nether with me, and you’ll become my prisoner, slave, and personal servant. Or-”
The Blood God raised his netherite blade, pointing the tip straight at Philza’s heart.
“-I will allow you to die with a sword in your hand, and once you’re dead, I will slaughter your children.”
Philza fell to his knees without hesitation.

Stories like this must be difficult to write, because the moral dilemma and circumstances of the characters make it look like there is no good resolution. The tone of the fic leads me to believe there is one, though. The characters are very likeable, intelligent, kind and not unreasonably dramatic, so I hope they will get a happy end.
The worldbuilding is also very good. It gives their world that extra spark of life.
Done. So worth it

Summary
Wave changed a lot about Team 7, but not enough to make them entirely functional. Also someone should have really reminded Kakashi to pay attention to that tiny part of his genius brain that recognises random patterns, before he called a rest stop on the way home on top of an old, decayed Uzushio travel seal with an over-chakra-charged Uzumaki.
And he thought the month of the Wave mission was long, now he's stuck with the team, in a place he never expected to have anything to do with, with no way back.
Maybe he should have paid more attention to history, or stayed in the academy long enough to have history classes.Series

Kakashi is very protective. The fic has a steady pace, kind of one step further each chapter. The main focus is on Hatake clan world building (senses, relationships etc.) and shinobi instincts, behaviour, common sense and the like.
