Stay for dinner, Cheng Xiaoshi said, but both of them knew it meant stay for as long as you’d like. Lu Guang had taken advantage of that offer many times, sleeping on the same couch where they always sat. Improbably, he slept better here than he did in his own bed.
“Okay,” he accepted, and Cheng Xiaoshi smiled.
