Summary
The thing about the American Dream
is that it's a dream.
And dreams rot in daylight.Gatsby made his bed in dreams.
He thought if he built it big enough,
beautiful enough,
if he poured enough hope into the corners,
someone would climb in with him
and say yes.Or maybe he thought he could outdream reality if he pressed hard enough against the glass.
(or, you can’t resurrect a decade with a dinner party, but god knows he tried.)

Summary
“I’m not… good at this,” He admits, barely audible.
“Good at what?”
“Letting people see.” He gestures vaguely between them. “I don’t know how to handle it, when someone tries to make me feel better. It just—” He breaks off, shaking his head. “It feels weak.”
Jisung stares at him, his lungs tightening. “It’s not,” he says, firm. “It’s only a witness, Minho. It’s more important than you think, to be witnessed.”
or: five times Minho visits Jisung's bed, and the one time he decides to stay there.

Summary
Hyunjin’s eyes light up. “Y’know, speaking of clowns, Jisung actually went to clown college.”
Oh, here we go. He’s not sure how it started, but at some point Jisung’s friends decided it was hilarious to tell people he went to clown school. What’s more embarrassing is that people actually believe it—one guy even agreed that it “makes sense.” What is *that* supposed to mean?
But before Jisung can deny it, Minho speaks up.
“Wait really? I love clowns.”
---After the hottest guy he's ever seen says he likes clowns, Jisung lies that he used to go to clown college, and is forced to learn various tricks to keep up the facade.
The problem is: Minho also lied and is actually deathly afraid of clowns—he only said that cuz he's down bad for Jisung.Neither knows the other is lying... chaos ensues.
