He hated it, the knowledge that other people could be worried for him, despite all the wrongs he's committed– how much destruction is caused by his mere presence.
Vash's body was shutting down, he could feel it.
He didn't deserve the luxury.

Edit March 12th 2023: I went back into ch4 and edited it again. There's so much smutt in that one I had to fixed a few things and somehow made it longer. Either way, ch4 now has slightly more Bottom Wolfwood begging <3
edit: I came back in to edit the tag to make them a bit more neat. Tags will be updated with every chapter and at the start of every chapter will have what it includes! I've never been this organized before but of course it would be caused by this ship lmao.

Wilbur wrapped his arms tighter around himself, a gentle hum on whispered lips, listening to the way the sound echoed quietly off the damp walls in replacement to the birds that could never be heard down here. He presses his fingers into his arms, head pillowed on his knees, trying not to think of the way his hands feel like ice; cold as stone to the touch after having fought for so long against the walls that trap him; blunted nails that have soaked his blood; the bricks chipped and cracked with previous attempts at escape, back before the humans had broken him.
Or: Wilbur has all but given up before the others find him.
