i was pretty much given permission to just go insane, which is exactly what I did when I came across the prompt of one character being tortured while the other has to watch, knowing it's their fault, which gave me the thought of Tsumugi getting caught up in spy bullshit. This is my longest work yet, so I hope Pomme and everyone else enjoys this. Also, happy early ChikaTsumu week!

Summary
In the aftermath of August's death and December's defection, April is left alone in the Organization. As he mourns the family member he loved and hunts for the family member he'll never forgive, he crosses paths with a stranger offering a cigarette in the night. When this stranger witnesses a crime he shouldn't, April finds himself responsible for keeping the man alive, even if it means betraying the Organization. As he struggles to fight the institution that kept him trapped for over a decade, April realizes why December left in the first place.

Summary
The first time Tsumugi coughs up petals, he knows what it means. All sorts of lovers are common in his business, and that includes unrequited lovers. On rare occasions, there's a happy ending. The object of their affections returns their love, and they live happily ever after–or at least, one can only assume so. Tsumugi, however, doesn't have such hopes for a happy ending for himself. Well, if he did, he probably wouldn't have developed such a disease, but regardless, his odds seem especially abysmal.
IDK if this is good, but it's been sitting in my Google Docs since November and I couldn't look at it any longer. Shout out to Jas whose tweet inspired this.

"It's okay," Eiji replied, "I'm happy you told me. But... I didn't know you feel that way, Ash. I knew that you pretend it's okay sometimes. But..." He frowned. "I didn't know you blame yourself this much. For what happened."
Blame himself? Did Ash really do that? He didn't really think he did. But...
Ash had it coming.

And—okay, wow, the food. Ash has never been too picky with his food, despite what Eiji might tell you. But if he'd known half of what Japanese cuisine can be when the rice isn't smothered in natto? Hell, screw the whole political drug scandal back in the States. Ash would have been here ages ago.
In a way, though, he's glad that he waited. He's not sure he would have enjoyed it as much even just a year sooner.
Looking in the bathroom mirror, Ash pinches at the flab that now protrudes well over his waistline.
He definitely wouldn't have been able to enjoy the food if he'd moved a year earlier.
Sometime in the not-all-that-distant future, Ash is chubby.

Fly boy in the sky , it reads. Another commenter points out the blue sky right behind, and another one calls him an angel.
“Well, if I can’t fly anymore, am I still an angel?” Eiji mutters. He spends a few more minutes silently watching as his mind trifles with the definition of angels. He’s thinking of making a joke, but he can't come up with one.
There just isn’t anything funny about fallen angels.

Summary
Ash requires all the best fighters in Lynx Gang for a turf war, so someone else besides Kong and Bones are assigned to watch Eiji for the day. However, not everyone in the gang is as enamoured with the little foreigner as Ash clearly is, and his temporary caretakers don't exactly hide their displeasure at being given babysitting duties.
Eiji, frustrated by this, sets out to prove his worth and show everyone that he's not as useless as they (and even he at times) think.

"You’ll learn to live with it," Blanca said. He didn't tell him he would move on. He understood this particular loss too well to make that claim, but he also knew how grief could fossilize inside of you, sink into your bones until you forgot it was there.
"When's that gonna happen?" Ash's voice was brittle when he finally spoke. "When exactly did you learn to live with it, Blanca?"
He couldn't explain that he'd moved through the world like a ghost, seeing and feeling nothing until he'd met Ash. He didn't want to explain that it was Ash who saved him, when he'd been unable to return the favor in any way that mattered.
