Then Nerdanel took the key from her neck, and wound it again. Her fingers trembled, in hope and terror. As she reached the end, she met resistance, and, thumb pushing up and index finger pulling down, she twisted once more, a half turn.

Summary
What if the Kidnap Fam went back in time and stopped the Silmarils from ever existing? What if the Ambarussar and the Peredhil twins met? What if they were the same age? (Spoiler alert, it's in the name). Good mix of hurt/comfort and fluff (loooooots of fluff).
Edit: Abandoned and available for adoption upon request. My opinions of the Feanorians complexified as I got older and I really don't have the patience and drive to rewrite the whole story. I'm not going to delete it, but if anyone would like to take up the story themselves, please reach out to my tumblr (raointean, same as here) where I can send you the prompts for the other stories, as well as the more detailed outline I started (assuming I still have it somewhere)
