“Lord Vader-“ a nervous looking officer starts as the ship takes off.
“No pleasantries,” he growls. “Who was it that attacked me and destroyed the Death Star?”
“Er.” The officer consults a datapad. “We’re still gathering preliminary reports, but it is our understanding that the pilots who shot you are a smuggler named Han Solo and a Wookiee named Chewbacca. We have Imperial records of Solo, he’s a deserter who liberated the Wookiee before he left.”
“And the pilot who destroyed the Death Star?”
“He and a-“ he checks the datapad again. “Ben Kenobi contracted Solo and the Wookiee to take them towards Alderaan from Tatooine, we believe they were in possession of the R2 unit and the protocol droid belonging to Princess Leia. A… Luke Skywalker.”
What?
If Vader’s stomach functioned normally still, the bottom would have dropped out of it.
The officer flies backwards with a choking sound, pinned to the wall of the shuttle. Vader advances on him, seething.
“What did you say?” He demands. “What did you say?”
“On Tatooine-“ the officer chokes. “With Kenobi-“
“His name!” Vader thunders. “His name!”

Summary
Sometimes superheroes save the world. And sometimes they're too late.
Captain America's longtime villain Superia had a plan for revenge. She stopped the Avengers from ever finding Steve in the ice, tore the Avengers apart, and turned the world into her own personal authoritarian dystopia. A team made up of Captains America from across the multiverse came to set things right: they united all the remaining superheroes, took down Superia, and made sure the world would find Steve again.
Tony spent Superia's hellish reign as her prisoner, a suicidally-depressed disembodied brain trapped in a jar for years on end, begging the Avengers to kill him and put him out of his misery. The Captain America Corps instead gives him his freedom, a brand-new body, and even the Avengers -- including his very own Captain America. But Tony's not entirely sure he wants to be here. He's walking wounded, and he thinks some wounds are too deep to heal. He thinks there's no chance the Avengers will ever be what they could have been. He thinks there's no way Steve will ever be the friend and partner he could have been on so many other worlds.
Luckily for Tony, Steve happens to disagree with that.

Ben’s gaze darted toward the street again. “Why’s that?” Ben asked, tone not-quite conversational. He sounded exhausted, Myles noted, even with only two words to judge and Myles could hear the strange slowness to the words that came when a person was struggling to string a sentence together.
Myles tapped at his ribs where the two lies lay. “Found a few scars on my body that hadn’t been there before.”

“There’s nothing for it, I’m afraid,” Obi-Wan says with an easy shrug, eyeing the completely empty cabin that’s supposed to be Anakin’s. Apparently two cabins doesn’t actually mean two beds. Obi-Wan claps one hand around the rise of Anakin’s shoulder, and Anakin has gotten pretty good at not overcompensating, at not pulling away too quickly because he wants too much to lean in. “There’s no time to arrange for another one to be put in. We’ll just have to share the bed in mine.”
“It’s not even big enough for you,” Anakin grumbles, his jaw tense, because he’d seen the thing over Obi-Wan’s shoulder as his former Master stowed his small travel bag away. It’s narrow and sleek in the way of most ships’ bunks, suited for practicality and an efficiency of space rather than comfort—or Anakin’s sanity.
