"Aw, has poor Spider-Man finally given up?"
Operam's grinning mouth, obscured by the haunting mask, swam in Ranboo's vision. The yells and screams of the city around him flooded in his ears, a chorus of "get up, Spider-Man, you can do this!" thrusting his body into the limelight once more, a shell of the superhero he once claimed to be.
"Go home, boy. You're not meant to be a hero."
Ranboo had always been a shadow in the background, helping shine the light on people much better than him. Surely getting bitten by a radioactive spider won't change that at all, will it?

Summary
It was meant to go just as practised. He'd broken out of this tank dozens of times before for practice- really, it wasn't even difficult. He knew how to swim, and the tank was never even properly locked. The small padlock they used physically couldn't close or lock correctly. It was all fake, and he could push out of the tank easier than breaking his head above water.
These comforting facts slowly filter away as Ranboo realizes that the lock is real, and he's quickly running out of air.

purpled doesn't know what he's doing with himself. his ufo is gone, he has no friends, his brother is missing in action (as per usual), and quackity's words hang over his head every single day. it's the only thing accompanying him at his secluded home aside from his thoughts and his dog.
enderwalk ranboo likes to wander. and with a potion that makes him completely fine with water, he had a lot more options for where to go.
cue a meetup between the ender man and the tired phantom hybrid.

It tilts its head at the name, smiling absently.
“Name not registered. Would you like to register the name, ‘Ranboo’?”
