“I’m not cargo,” Harry spits out back at her, defensive, chin held up high. Regulus watches as his small hands grab hold of a knife as long as his forearm, pointing it downward but still present, like if Regulus and Pandora give him a reason he’d slaughter them. Jesus, the kid is eleven.
“He’s the cargo, yeah.” James says, ignoring Harry’s spluttering protests.

If you’d asked thirteen-year-old Sasha if she thought her two closest friends could survive a Zombie-Apocalypse she’d have laughed in your face. Marcy would’ve tripped over the first object she came into contact with and been chum within seconds and while Anne certainly had the athletic ability to keep herself alive, she was somewhat lacking in the common-sense department.

“Well,” Richie says. “Not anymore, if Wheeler has anything to do with it.”
“Richie!” Will says.
“Richie,” a sterner voice says from the doorway of the kitchen, and Will turns his head to see Mike stalking in indignantly, staring at Richie with the anger of a thousand suns.
“Oh, hey Wheeler,” Richie says casually. “How is it possible you look more uptight after getting laid?”
“Shut the fuck up,” Mike says.
“Good morning to you too,” Richie says.
“Look, don’t talk to Will,” Mike says. “And don’t talk to me. And don’t talk about us to anyone else either. Matter of fact, when are you leaving my house?”
“Oh, I’m movin’ in,” Richie says. “Heard your mom’s single now, perfect opportunity for me to secure my place in the Wheeler family.”
