Summary
A younger Tommy had once asked Tubbo why the dragons were bad, because no grown-up would give him a straight answer.
“It’s like this boss man; dragons kill us so we kill them back. It’s just an age-old war against species, but dragons are animals, so they don’t know what war is,” an eight-year-old had Tubbo explained, but that still didn’t give an answer to Tommy’s question.
Why were the dragons bad? What had started the war? Was it men afraid of beasts with more power than them, or did dragons simply hurt everything they saw as an act of vengeance against the world. Tommy knew what that was like.

Techno knew there was someone in his territory.
What specifically was in his territory was a little more difficult to figure out. They smelled dragon-ish, but they weren’t hunting anywhere near enough for a dragon, and there was the faint scent of human to them. A dragon-friend, maybe?
Techno didn’t worry too much about it. He did patrol his territory slightly more often, though.
It was on one of these patrol flights that he heard it. Far below him, somewhere in his forest, there was the cry of a dragon hatchling.

Summary
The wishing well is an old tale that allows people to make wishes in exchange for a little bit of gold. People come and go with their chips and coins and everything in between, asking for riches, land, love, power. They come with elegant clothes and fancy jewelry and they still somehow manage to want for more.
Tommy doesn’t understand how that’s possible.
If he had those fancy, soft outfits instead of the itchy, cold, torn rags he has, he would never need more to wear. If he could go home to a family and eat warm food and drink clean water every day he doesn’t think he could ever want for anything else.

Summary
Phil gets kidnapped by a wild dragon (cough Techno cough) because of his blonde fucking hair that looks like gold. When they get to the dragon’s lair, Phil’s met with the sight of a fucking teenage boy lying in a fucking bed in the middle of the pile of gold and shit, hair just as blonde as Phil’s. Kid wakes up, sees Phil and is like, “you too, huh?” The kid is Tommy, and dragon Wilbur was the one who brought him there some time ago.
Or: I love dragons. And SBI. So why not combine them?

Summary
His eyes pick out the child with night vision of such good quality that he can see the subtle shake of the kid’s hands in fear.
He hears the clang of the door to his dungeon-den shutting and another noise as the padlocks on the other side are secured tightly so he doesn’t escape. The boy-child throws himself against the metal door, clawing at it with nails no longer than one of Techno’s eyelashes, and banging his fist against it fruitlessly in an attempt to garner the guards’ attention (useless since the people who stand outside the dungeon are apathetic and greed-filled, only there for the gold).
Techno sends a rumble out into the large chamber, letting it reverberate off the walls pleasingly. The child freezes where he is in the furthest corner and shouts out into the rest of the room, “Show yourself, beast!”
Or: Kid Tommy gets thrown in a cell with dragon Techno, what could possibly go wrong?

"I just want to hear what the runt has to say," he whines, his tail hitting at Wilbur's body like those over-excited puppies Wilbur sees outside their cage once in a while. "He has funny tales."
"I don't tell no tale!" The so-called runt whips his head out of Wilbur's wings, a golden-scaled head shining like a beacon between all those dark feathers. "I've met Death and her Angel! I'm in their Thunder!"

The creature kept moving, lumbering about just at the edge of the lantern light now. He watched, eyes narrowing with focus as the creature took the first few steps into the light.
The first thing Dream noticed was gold- a pale gold, shining softly in the orange light from the lantern. It took him a second to register the shine was from the creature itself, and suddenly Dream was still for a completely different reason to the tense anticipation of earlier.
Stepping cautiously into the pool of light and looking around was a dragon.
