Kaku perks up. "A cruise?"
In his eyes is the first glint of light Lucci has seen in them since leaving Water 7.
Even amongst the masterful deception of the other agents, Kaku was the best of them all. He blended in with the Water 7 citizens almost too well: whistling as he worked his sham of a job, expression light with joy that looked far less fake than it should've. Even when he dropped the act behind closed doors, there was still a levity to his demeanor –– a spark that extinguished the moment Nico Robin slugged a bullet into Iceburg's chest.
Given that it hasn't interfered with any of their missions, the fact that he has lost that spark should not matter. It should not matter. And yet––
"We'll take that one," Lucci says before he can stop himself.
Even Hattori gives him a weird look.

The first time he showed up, Kaku didn’t think much of it.
Sure, it wasn’t exactly *common* for a thirty-something man in a suit to visit the zoo all on his own, but Kaku wasn’t one to judge and, apart from his rather out-of-place choice of outfit, he wasn’t suspicious in any way.
Exceptional enough for Kaku to take notice of, certainly, and when he came back a couple of weeks later, it didn’t take long for Kaku to recognize him.

“You shouldn’t talk so high-and-mighty,” he gets out. Kaku doesn’t consider this a valid complaint. He’ll do whatever he likes, thank you very much.Or: in the midst of the violence, Kaku takes what's his.

Heracles frowns, bow lowering, and chains clink. Nereus had told him the Titan was imprisoned here, undergoing Zeus's torments. And the Titan is chained here, but there is a distinct lack of torments. The eagle that is supposed to be eating Prometheus's liver appears to be nesting next to Prometheus's head instead, legs tucked underneath its body like a brooding hen.

Piers' job at times like these was to simplify Raihan's purpose.
He didn't have to be strong. He didn't have to aim for the sun again and again no matter how many times he fell with scorched wings. Perfection was thrown aside as a requirement, and there was no audience waiting with baited breath to see him triumph or fail and cheer for either outcome.
All Raihan had to be, once safe in his partner's grasp in the privacy of his own home, was obedient and fuckable.
