SSSS: The Next Generation
Actually, it's mostly about the current generation so far, but some of them have kids. Unusual, talented, highly problematic kids.I started writing this just for fun, quickly started taking it too seriously, got overwhelmed with planning, then stopped because it wasn't fun anymore. At this point, I'm going to try to go back to just winging it, even if that means it doesn't have the structure of a proper novella.

I'm doing a writing exercise where I try to tell a story with just dialog. So far, it's basically a bunch of fluff with a hearty helping of crack.

Q: How do you lose a partner, lose an eye, almost die, then go on like it never happened?
A: You don't.
Praxis POV of (eventually) every scene he's part of in the comic and a bunch of other stuff in between (and probably after.)

Yet another possible continuation of The Praxic View that will never happen. As usual, you don't have to read that for this to make sense.

Birthdays don't mean much to me. Another year of survival, I guess. Cain's the only one who even knows when it is, and he's in a snit about not being my only friend anymore.
So when someone starts banging on my door...

Some jerks are born. Some are made. For most, it's a bit of both.
An alternative lead-up to Chapter 2, Page 13.

riseelectric wrote a thing where Cain was captured by the Colterons and tortured into insanity. Then I wrote a thing about how he's rescued and starts to come back. This is that thing.

Praxis and Deimos fight.
This was originally going to be part of The Praxic View but I realized it didn't advance the plot at all and only exists because I wanted to see them fight, so now it's a side story. You don't have to read that for this to make sense.

Ethos's friends throw him a party, and that's just the first of several birthday surprises.
This is set in the same timeline as The Praxic View (probably shortly after Chapter 9) but you don't have to read that for this to make sense.

Praxis has a nightmare, Keeler has a bitch fit, Phobos gets punched, and Encke is apparently the only sane person around.

Haymitch didn't want a typical boring funeral full of sentimental speeches and pretty half-truths. Fortunately, he knew he could count on at least one of the very few people he loved to stir things up a bit.

I'm always looking for a challenge when I write, and a believable Abel/Praxis pairing is certainly a challenge at this point. Please let me know whether you think I pulled it off, and if not, what I did wrong.

What if Abel isn't the only one with special abilities? Also, there's nothing like expecting death within minutes to make people be honest with themselves.
