Vision hums, “Call you what?”
“Sir.”
He makes a face, breaking his forward focus to look at her curiously, “It’s simply a formality. I thought you weren’t a fan of formality.”
“You see, I’m not, but that formality is particularly nice.” She shuffles closer, stage-whispering, “You call the women ma’am, by the way.”
Vision blinks. He looks forward, considering that. Then, back to her, “… Oh.”

Summary
The moment she walks into the flower shop, with a merry jingle of the bell over the door, some of the madness in her mind stops. She looks around at the beautiful handmade bouquets, the cream walls, jazz music spiralling softly from a record player almost hidden by lush leaves in the corner. She approaches the counter in the quiet, and presses a fingertip to the bell.
And her stomach does a somersault at the man that appears from the back, a flustered blush in his cheeks as he shoves his glasses back up his nose.
