Summary
Finn gets sick and doesn’t show up to work at Marshall's, Joe goes looking for him after some hours of waiting at the workshop and trying to contact him without response. He finds him curled up on his bed with a high fever, and ends up calling Tobey and Ben for help. Much fussing, hurt, comfort and revelations ensue.
I’m running with the idea that Finn grew up on the foster care system and has some traumatic memories, so take that into account.

Summary
It suddenly feels like nicotine all over again: get touched one too many times and he starts searching for it, starts craving it when it isn’t there. Starts noticing it in the place of its absence when he hadn’t before, always looking forward to the next fix.
Except it doesn’t come, because there’s no reason for it to, and Carmy falls asleep every night with a hand clenched at the front of his chest and the words I’m here, you’re good on repeat in his mind.

After the walk-in debacle on Friends and Family night, Carmy is trying to make up for his mistakes by pushing himself to be better. But between the voice in his head telling him he’s worthless, his own wholehearted belief in everything that voice is saying, and his desperation to not let anyone see that there’s something severely wrong with him, things are going to shit fast — so when the hospital calls to inform him that his mother’s been in an accident and is going to need a caretaker for a while, Carmy takes the chance to do something right for once. It’ll be fine. He can handle it, and it’ll be fine.
He cannot handle it, and it isn’t fine. One night at Donna’s, everything goes catastrophically to shit and Carmy’s left with an open, bleeding wound in his hand and the suffocating realization that nobody’s coming to save him. But the people who love him are nothing if not determined to prove him wrong. They’re going to get him out of that house. They’re going to be there as his hand heals. They’re going to hug him, and cook for him, and remind him how it feels to laugh. And whenever he begins to believe that he doesn’t deserve any of it, they’ll be there to prove just how much he matters to them.

Summary
For a moment, for a fleeting, selfish moment, Carmy wishes it were him lying six feet under and not his brother.
“Maybe then I could finally get some rest.” Bitterly, he thought to himself.
A voice deep in the depths of his mind, that sounded a little too familiar to an ex-employer for Carmy’s comfort, echoed out its agreement. “It still can be. You can’t take his place, but you could join him. It would be better if you were gone, anyway. I mean, would anybody actually care enough to notice?”
A new montage flashes through his mind, providing him option after option of how he could follow in his big brother’s footsteps once more.“Carmy?” A voice cut through his dark thoughts like a knife. “What the fuck are you doing here? It’s four in the morning!”
Carmy startles, jerking his head towards the direction of the front door where his sister stood, haloed by the porch light.
