The Good War by inwardtransience
Read until Ch 95 on 22 Dec 2023.
Pan-celtism, communism.
The author spends too much time world building and describing the décor of the buildings. She spends way too long building up the politics of an enlarged Britain (!!!) which includes England, Wales, Scotland, Ireland and Brittany and an intricate nobility system, which is very cool. BUT THEN! She went and made Liz a fucking champagne communist who wants to give all that up because reasons. Liz owns a house in Ireland but is sympathetic to the pan-celtic separatists because 'hopefully they'll let me keep my house'. BRUH! That's exactly why you shouldn't support separatism and instability if you own stuff and is part of the establishment. Why would you 'hope' to keep your stuff when you already own them? My dear Liz, I understand you're a teenage girl, but please use your brain and stop treating Marx's words as gospel.
The trauma and Liz's winding path to healing is very well written and compelling though.
