He wishes he can blame Odasaku for leaving so suddenly, for being so goddam selfish. He supposes he can't be too hard on him. With him, he finally had some stable times.
Oda is always on his mind, thinking about how he's missing everything Dazai has done and all he'll ever do. That's one of the things that cut so deep into his heart. A strange raw feeling cutting him up inside, laughing at him for forever to come. Oda was his home.

The sound was like someone dragging their long fingernails on a chalkboard, an uneasy and panic inducing sound. All Shouto could do was watch him through slitted eyes and gritted teeth, thinking about how everybody in his class is a fool. How can they all have high hopes about becoming a successful hero when they can’t even see the evil in front of them. The evil has slowly infected some of the students and now their bodies are being used as puppets.

He rushes to Carter’s side, and after haphazardly kicking away some glass shards, kneels down on one knee.
The stench of Scotch assaults his nostrils immediately. The sleeves and shoulders of Carter’s suit jacket are soaked in it.
Peter reaches out to rest a hand on Carter’s shoulder. The man on the floor flinches back so hard that Peter loses his balance and has to catch himself with one hand.
