Summary
There was an arm wrapped around Robin. An arm? Her eyes snapped open, heart speeding up in her chest. Because, well, she knew whose embrace she was in. That was not Steve’s arm. This was either a very nice dream or some sort of torturous waking nightmare… one where she has to get out of the woman she’s fallen in love with’s embrace without making it super awkward for the both of them. She didn’t love her odds of success relying on her own grace and was pretty sure she wasn’t dreaming.

Once Steve talks to Robin about them she can't help want to visit him in person as soon as possible. She gets Nancy to drive back to Indiana with her from Massachusetts for a surprise visit, knowing she'll have to try to keep her crush in check the whole way there. Once they arrive, it soon becomes apparent that something is going on in Hawkins, Indiana. Again. They team up to get to the bottom of it.

Summary
Three shots ring out.
Steve hears them before he feels them; a warm, wet pain burning in his torso, intolerably excruciating.
There’s a bundle of squawks and screams, outbursts of panic and anger, and it’s only when Hopper falls forwards to take Steve up into a slightly rough, protective hold, does he realize that two of those shots have lodged themselves in his own flesh and bone. (Realizes that he’d moved, instinctively, to shield El, despite never having spoken to her, who’d the gun had been so precisely pointed at, aimed for.)
Steve Harrington watches his own blood pool and trickle over a series of hands pressed against him, small and large, soft and rugged, and for a moment, wants to stay like this. He can’t.

“I’m gonna kill all of you,” Steve mutters but he sits still and lets Eddie muss up his hair probably beyond all recognition. “Seriously, none of this better leave this room.”

Steve looks over at her expectantly. As if the man didn't just ask a question so out of left field that Robin's not even sure they're playing metaphorical baseball anymore.
"Steve?"
"Robin?"
Her eyes beg for extra context that he decidedly isn't giving. Robin relents. "Platonic love of my life, pray tell, what the fuck are you talking about?"
