Summary
He does not want to explain casual sex to Naruto, or friends with benefits, or make Naruto think that Kakashi caring for Naruto has anything to do with Iruka. Naruto is, and always has been, enough by himself.
Iruka opens his mouth, prepared to lie in order to make the situation as non-awkward as possible, but Kakashi is already speaking.
“Ah, Naruto, your sensei and I… Iruka and I have been dating.”

Summary
Iruka's always been made aware that his big heart would be his undoing, but he never expected it'd happen from helping out a fellow shinobi in need.
or: the one where Iruka helps Kakashi keep his face hidden away in a fit of chivalry, and sets tongues wagging for it. Brings back memories, that does.

Summary
When the Rokudaime finds himself without an assistant, Iruka begrudgingly steps up to the plate as a replacement. He convinces himself of two things: that the position is only temporary, and that his long-harbored feelings surely won’t get in the way of serving his new hokage.
…Exactly how long he can keep up that charade is another matter entirely.

Summary
Through stubbornness and what Kakashi calls a ‘dazzling display of heart,’ Iruka somehow befriends the CEO of Hatake Corp, Hatake himself. And no, despite what Iruka’s friends might think, Kakashi is not his sugar daddy. Kakashi is giving and selfless, and he’s Iruka’s friend, kind and reliable. Sure, he does constantly try to buy Iruka things, and he’s attentive, almost overwhelmingly so, but that’s just how he is: Kakashi is lonely. He’s not used to having friends.
Besides, their relationship is totally platonic. There's no sugaring. If anything—and this is a big if—he’d be something like a… Sugar Friend. Yeah, something adjacent to that.
Iruka is becoming increasingly unsure if that is actually true.
