“Is he, uh, okay?” Sazed asked. The elf tagging along with her looked dazed and confused like he didn’t really know what he was doing here. “Look, if you’re trying to just dump your--um--your trash onto me, it won’t work. I won’t have that shit, lady.”
“I promise you, he’ll be okay. He’s perfectly okay. He’s a phenomenal cook. I’ve heard about you, from um, ‘Sizzle it Up with Sazed?’ You’re quite the sensation, aren’t you?”
“Yes, yes, I’m extremely impressive. But are you sure he can cook?”

Ford is ready for the future. He's looking forward, and he's finally passed the challenges to make the rest of his life a reality. And so, he takes the night to celebrate with his closest friend.
None of this what was you'd usually see Backupsmore University.
Instead, Ford had to convince Fiddleford to drive them way away in order to get this crystal clear view of the sky, unmarred by the light pollution that blotted out most of what made the sky ever so beautiful. Thankfully, as it was a celebratory night for them both, with Fiddleford having also finished his own PhDs, his friend had agreed.
He was going to go out into the world, and do what he wanted to do most. They both were separately. Still, he'd miss his friend.
There's just one more thing to work out before the two part, Fiddleford decides. Ford wishes it came at better timing, and that things were different.

look, Peri is simply the best there is at crossover content. even if you don't know one of the two medias being crossed over, i can't imagine this isn't going to be a fun and in-depth sci-fi romp w a whole heap of fun worldbuilding and interactions to boot. love the replacements for the word "humanoid" -- this has always bothered me abt D&D and adjacent media, so it makes way more sense. V WONDERFUL 11/10 check it out
