Drenched in green, Satoru opened his mouth to say something and then he vanished. Left on the floor was a pile of his clothing, blindfold, and crawling over the high collar of his jacket, a palm sized frog. A frog that promptly fled in the direction of the curse.

Summary
Suguru stands up too, slowly, as if Satoru is a spooked deer. For the second time this evening, he is at a loss for what to do.
‘I’m supposed to-,’ Satoru furrows his eyebrows in confusion, ‘I’m meant to be doing something, what am I…’ he trails off, wringing his hands. Suguru doesn’t know where Satoru thinks he is, but it can’t be here.
Satoru’s breaths are coming faster and faster as he darts his gaze around, wild eyes scanning the room. Like he’s planning to try to make a break for it. Which, actually-- Suguru thinks, watching Satoru inch closer towards the open window-- Satoru might be planning on doing. Suguru cannot let that happen- a delirious Satoru is a liabilty.or: geto learns that maybe there’s more to the annoying rich kid in his new class than he first thought, and gojo learns that maybe his clan was wrong and it’s okay to accept help from others

Summary
Suguru begins to wonder if it’s lonely for Gojo. Keeping an inch between him and the world.
Not an inch, a voice that sounds suspiciously like Shoko reminds him. Infinity.
But does it feel like infinity? When summer’s humidity swells to its peak, can Gojo feel the pressure? When a barrage of low-level curses ambushes them in Roppongi, can he sense their velocity, the twist of the wind? When Suguru grazes the immovable space between them - hands him a test paper, shoulders past him in the corridor, reaches out, unthinking, to slap him on the back – does Gojo know the warmth of Suguru's skin?
Then, on July 12th, in a sour-smelling alley in Katsushika ward, Suguru catches him. Hunched over, spindly legs crouched, a street-worn cat pressing her nose to his fingertips. It licks her sandpaper tongue over his knuckles. Rubs the flat of her forehead against his palm. Gojo hums, pushing a tangled cowlick back with his thumb, a serene little smile on his face.
Yes, Suguru thinks. It must be lonely.
(Trauma is complicated, brains are strange, and Satoru Gojo is not immune to either of these truths.)

Summary
The station was literally just a single platform, and they were the only two people who got off the train. Suguru’s parents were stood waiting for them and the moment Suguru was off the train they both smiled wide, genuine smiles.
Satoru watched as Suguru jogged over to tackle his mother in a hug. His father ruffled his hair and put an arm around his shoulders.
Suguru’s mother peered around Suguru and noticed Satoru still stood at the edge of the platform. The train had already pulled away and honestly he felt like dropping down onto the tracks to hide. Maybe he could sneak away?
This was a bad, bad idea, he realized. He shouldn’t have come. The pit in his stomach that had appeared while they were on the train instantly gaped open into a canyon under her kind eyes.
But it was too late now.

After the dust settles on the Star Plasma mission, and after Suguru is coaxed back from the brink, he invites Satoru to join him at his parents' house that summer.
Satoru is quick to agree, but the longer he is there the more the cracks begin to show. Maybe this was a bad idea.Bookmarked by nightmarebeans

He knocks. He waits. The door swings open to reveal a young man who's almost the spitting image of the Yuji he knows fifteen years from now.
"Hello," says Itadori Jin, "do you need something?"
He draws his shoulders back. "My name is Gojo Satoru. There are some things I need to talk to you about. Can I come in?"
"Where are your parents?"
Satoru elects to ignore that question. "It's about your wife."

Satoru dies in winter in Shinjuku, twenty nine years old, and it's not on purpose, and it's not unwelcome. And then it's spring in Kyoto, he's thirteen, and Itadori Yuji has just been born.
He's got some changes to make.
