    Summary

Taylor's taken on the form of an odd animal, a kind of rabbit. Or cat. Or fox. Or dog. And it seems to be take the term "Changer" a bit too literally...

Or, to explain it in greater detail, she's an Eevee. And she's got the ability to be all the Eeveelutions, if she wants.

This is not a good thing for certain villains.

    Summary

    Summary

The Emperor wasn't sure how he ended up in a different universe, or what the parasite leeching off Humanity was. He had never even considered the thought of having a successor. But someone had to save humanity, and he wasn't in a fit state to try.

Besides, if the Eldar Phoenix Lords could do it, how hard could it be?

    Bookmarker's Notes

“Words spoken by a posturing villain mean little to a true hero, Kaiser. They will mean little to Circaetus, and less to me.”

    -

He closed his eyes and bade a silent farewell to the ghosts of his pasts, to his regret and his sorrow and rose.

    -

Her eyes widened as she recognised them, and the shape of the soul among them, victorious and murderous.

    -

And for a moment, Taylor considered it. It would be easy, she knew. All she had to do was let Luna do as she pleased, and anyone who asked would be told the same thing: that Taylor had been tired from fighting Luna and escaping Noelle, from her attack on Coil’s base earlier. She hadn’t reacted quickly enough. It was even true, from a certain point of view. It was tempting. So very, very tempting.

    But all dreams are fleeting.

    -

A lesser man would not have had ten thousand years of pain to weigh against the weight of his failures and find purchase in hope.

    -

Taylor already knew it was hopeless, he wasn’t breathing, wasn’t moving, she couldn’t hear the timbre of his mind anymore, but…

    Hope dies last.

    -

Stand among the ruins of a shattered empire, Taylor, and ask the dead what their honour brought them.

    -

The screams were the only thing louder than the rain.

    -

Their worship will buy their obedience, and I know which one I value more.

    -

"Oh, ever since my Trigger I've had no illusions," she said, her voice low and whispering, "Out there, in the dark, there's no divine power. There's no guiding light. There's just the void, and the stares of uncountable stars. The meek will inherit the Earth, you say? They can have it. The strong will have the rest."

    -

In better weather, Taylor thought, it would have glowed red in the setting sun. As it was, the cloudy skies left it grey.

    -

"You were calling the power out and then using it as fuel," Taylor explained, "That works. It's just temperamental. This isn't real fire: it's Warp-Flame, born of the Immaterium. Don't call the power out and then light it: call the power and bring it forth as flame."

    -

Once she'd come to her senses, she'd realised that almost any way was better. There was more to strength than the ability to fight, and that was all the Nine would leave behind: those who could outfight them, and those who could hide from them. That was no way to create a legacy.

    -

Gathering power around herself, just in case, Taylor committed herself to the future and, with a single beat of her wings, passed through the doorway.

    -

"Morality is meaningless in the face of extinction. If there is a Heaven, we will storm its gates and tear down its walls."

    -

"So Humanity may bow before a Queen – at least there will be a humanity left to bow."

    -

The silence this time was deeper, heavier, and Keith thought it was because it was true.

    Summary

This world exists in cycles. This is a time of strife and conflict. Even prodigious mortals are confined to the here and now.

But a Titan is greater than any mortal. What would you do if you had a second chance? What if you had... time on your side?

This is the question that Brian, Sarah, Jean-Paul, Rachel and Taylor ask themselves as they wake up in 2002.
