Nicholas takes a step back instead. He wouldn't give Vash to anyone. They're a wanted person. Who does that woman think she is? Who does she think he is, a stupid fool?
"No way, woman." He snarls, then tightens his grip on Vash. Running isn't a good idea at the moment, as the only path would bring him closer to Hopeland and a flock of people.
"I did appear out of nowhere, I suppose. Let me show you proof that I don't mean any harm." The woman has the gall to move closer to him. Thankfully Roberto and Meryl appear by his side, then, gathering in front of him. Pfft, this is like some Vash protection squad. He doesn't hate the mental image or the reinforcements at his side.

By now, Yuuji has scouted the area and found some good places to steal a tree from. The forests not far from school are vast and actually make for nice training grounds. Running around unstable grounds is good for one’s legwork or something. Maybe. At the very least it’s fun and on their way to find the perfect tree, Yuuji wastes quite a bit of time. Once snow begins to fall again though, they stop slacking off and get down to business.

A brighter flash than usual, a sharp stab of pain into his torso, a bang that makes his ears throb.
And then light.
And with the light comes pain.
Pain like he’s never experienced before. It’s like his skin has become sandpaper, his blood lava, his muscles burning coals. He tries to scream, but his throat is far too parched and his lungs void of air.
Then, a sound. It starts as a whisper, barely audible above the pounding of his heart.
It comes again.
And again.
A name.
His name?
Is “Phainon” his name?
He can’t remember anymore.

Based on the Animated Short “Hark! There’s Revelry Atop the Divine Mountain”, Phainon becomes trapped within Irontomb and is used as a proto power source until it is eventually defeated. He is rescued, but there are parts of him that are still lost.
Including his relationship with Mydei.
