He hums in agreement. Robin continues, “So if we just combined…”
“Oh…”
“All our problems would be solved. Because I mean, alone- let's face it.”
“We totally suck.” Steve says.
‘Totally and utterly.” Robin agrees.
It’s supposed to be a silly pipe dream. Key word being supposed.

“We could get matching tattoos,” she tries to tempt him, “That way, even if it’s a dumb idea it’ll be meaningful because..” The words get caught in her throat. Because it’d be a dumb idea she did with him. Someone who means so much to her. Someone she’s stupidly attached to after less than a year of knowing him. Ethan Hunt may be the one that lights the fire in you but it’s Benji Dunn who keeps it burning.
Or, I wanted to write a fic about Paris and Benji getting matching tattoos but it became more a Paris character study about finding your people and feeling undeserving of it with some light paris/grace undertones. And background benthan, always. And Degas is there too. They're family, trust me on this.

When she finally stopped moving, Steve himself laid back into the pillow and stared at the ceiling, silently processing what had just happened. He really had a woman in his bed, huh? Hell, he had a woman in his bed and he hadn’t even the slightest intentions on trying anything. Hell must’ve frozen over.

Summary
The bleachers were packed with families: parents and grandparents and siblings, all dressed up, all holding cameras and flowers and balloons. Steve could see them from where he sat, could see the way they waved at their graduates, calling out names and taking pictures. The gym was full of people celebrating, full of love and pride and joy.
None of it was for him.
He knew the kids wouldn’t—couldn’t—be here, even if they wanted to be. They were still in school, and teachers wouldn’t have let them leave for the ceremony, since none of them were actually related to Steve.
His parents weren't here either. Steve had known they wouldn't be—had known it with the kind of bone-deep certainty that came from a lifetime of disappointments—but there was still a small, stupid part of him that had hoped. That had thought maybe, just maybe, they'd show up for this. His high school graduation: that was the thing parents were supposed to care about, right?
They probably didn't even remember it was today.
Probably didn’t even know he was graduating at all.

Lucas thinks that he’ll calm down once Eddie is back on his feet. Max thinks that he’s being a selfish little drama queen, but she doesn’t really have a leg to stand on when it comes to self-pitying bullshit, so she’s been biting her tongue.
“That doesn’t mean it’s okay to… talk to Steve like that. Like he’s stupid.”
“Well…” Max tries to joke, and El glares. “Sorry.”
“You were not helping.”
