Summary
When Catalina sailboat, The Maria, gets stuck in a storm with a broken engine and sends out a mayday to the coast guard they call in the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution. Coxswain Steve Rogers and his team brave the storms, risking their lives to go and rescue it. Information slowly creeps in as the situation worsens and doubts creep in as to whether this will be a successful shout or will it end in tragedy.

Tony Stark felt a hand on his shoulder shaking him again as his dreamworld slowly fell away.
That wasn’t right… he lived alone. There shouldn’t be anyone shaking his shoulder to wake him up. He forced one eye open despite the fact that there appeared to be weights latching onto his eyelids trying to keep them closed.
The blurry sight of what looked like… a keyboard, yes, that was definitely the letter ‘j’, slowly swam into view. And was that the tail end of a spanner his cheek was resting on? Ah. No, it was a pen shaped like a spanner. That made more sense. A cheek resting on a pen-spanner resting on a keyboard.
He clearly wasn’t at home.
A tale of how a chronically overworked and underfed Tony slowly learns how to live life with a little bit of help from his friends and how strangers on a train will not always try to murder you. Hopefully.

Tony Stark a wild card, said to live in Stark Industry’s large tower but never seen entering or leaving.. Rumor was, he was deformed or ill and the company didn't want the public to know. Obadiah Stane had taken over after Howard's death and has been running the company ever since, telling the public he was simply doing Stark's work but taking the face so Tony could focus on tech development.
Clint believed this, along with the rest of the team. They lived in the Tower and SI got to play the PR as they wanted. It was working out just fine for them. But a run in with a weak air vent had him falling into a lab on a floor he’d never been on before. When Clint finds a Little hiding under a deal, he learns something no one else in the world knows:

Jaskier’s mouth hung open, at a complete loss for words. His heart was tearing itself to shreds inside his very chest. He couldn't believe this was happening. Couldn’t believe that after everything, Geralt would be the thing that got him killed. It was beyond cruel. The gods had a sick sense of humour.
For the prompt:
Geralt and Jaskier reunite (preferably in the "current" timeline - post dragon hunt/Geralt getting Ciri). Geralt has figured out that he loves Jaskier, doesn't want to be parted from him again, and wants to make up for his harsh words on the mountain. It's not that simple though, when [some whump] happens to Jaskier.
