Summary
“Well,” he said, voice an octave lower, “you certainly are a fool.”
Normally, Kakashi wasn’t one for fantastical notions. Sure, he loved the occasional prank or his infamous “jutsu” of sticking a finger up his opponent’s ass, but there’s a great difference between being a slightly pervy prankster and believing in fairytales. Up until yesterday, he was more than certain that such a thing as Hanahaki Disease was but a whisper of the gods. A plotline in some of his most beloved romance novels.
But there was no mistaking the petal hidden in his desk drawer. And there was no mistaking the way his throat and heart equally constricted at the sight of Tenzo’s bright almond eyes basked in moonlight, nearly sparkling as they stared directly into Kakashi’s soul.
Well, it was at least obvious who the petals were for.
“One more?” Kakashi offered, bottle of sake hovering over Tenzo’s empty cup.
A warm smile greeted him. Soft pinkened cheeks and tips of ears. Eyes practically glowing. Kakashi’s breath faltered in his chest. Fuck, he was desperately in love with Tenzo.
“Why not.”
Yes, Kakashi was certain. He was a fool, and he was doomed.

Summary
“Just go talk to him,” Kakashi says, sighing as Yamato brings the fresh beer to his lips.
Genma turns his head between his two bar companions, 95 percent sure he's stuck in some weird foreplay routine.
“He's in the middle of a game,” Genma says.
“Pool is a long game,” Yamato says. “Just talk to him after his turn.”
“And say what? ‘Hey Raidou, I know we’ve been best friends and comrades since we were teenagers but I’m madly in love with you?’ That's not just something you fuck around with on a random night at the bar.”
“Maybe it is,” Yamato says with a genuine smile. “That was oddly specific and rehearsed.”
He catches Kakashi’s eye and it sparkles. Oh boy, it was a mistake to invite these two out together. Granted, he only really invited Yamato, but it seems like these two are now a package deal. Genma sighs.
“You two are the worst wingmen in Konoha.”

Summary
Tenzo ignores the flutter in his stomach and approaches his captain quickly, stopping a few feet behind him.
"Senpai?" Tenzo asks.
Kakashi keeps himself hunched over his book, but Tenzo can see him sliding his mask down to sip tea from a small cup and to-go kettle. A tea party in the training fields. Well, Kakashi-senpai has always been a bit odd.
"What is it Tenzo?"
The younger boy twists his hands together and shifts his weight from foot to foot, not that his captain can see him.
"Will you kiss me?"
Kakashi spits out the sip of tea and turns his head towards Tenzo so quickly that he forgets to place his mask back over his mouth.
"Senpai!" Tenzo squeaks, covering his eyes.

Summary
“You know the feelings I have for Sasuke…the bond we have,” Naruto begins. “It’s one of brothers, of comrades who love each other despite their differences.”
Naruto pauses, uncertain to continue as he chews his bottom lip. Yamato nods for him to carry on.
“But I don’t think the love you have for Kakashi-sensei is brotherly love.”
A deep blush rises from his neck up across Yamato’s cheeks. His pale, war-torn skin is now drenched in sunlight. He doesn’t know where exactly he was expecting this conversation to go, but it wasn’t here. He scratches the back of his neck, attempting a nervous laugh.
“Ah well,” he begins. “When on earth did you become so perceptive, Naruto?”
“Well, I do have the sage of six paths’ power, you know!”

Summary
It was probably all in vain.
Kakashi normally knew better. Kakashi was usually better at keeping to his small little bubble of (tasteful) erotic literature and the occasional conversation with one of his two friends. But he hadn’t talked to one of those friends in a year, and he found himself empty, haunted by Tenzo’s memory and the ridiculous knit cardigans he’d always wear this time of year. He knitted them himself.
It has been exactly a year–365 days– since he’d seen Tenzo. Since he’d heard the brunette’s steady tenor voice sing and laugh and tease. Since he’d seen wide brown eyes crease at the corners into an easy, honest smile.
It was last Christmas, when Tenzo had one too many glasses of eggnog, pulled Kakashi into an old storage closet, and told him he loved him.

Only hints are adding up to the fact that he is clearly missing something critical, which increases his confusion. Madara intends to discover what he is missing even if it means going along with Hashirama's half-cocked rescue charge.

Summary
Uchiha Tajima has developed a "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy regarding his sons' social lives since Madara and Izuna met the Senju family. This is because whenever Izuna tells him things, he generally regrets asking.
(Or: The only thing more ridiculous than Uchiha and Senju in proximity to one another are Uchiha and Senju in proximity to Halloween parties.) "

Summary
He was the eyes across the battlefield. The man who spoke to Kagami with more love in his little finger than Madara believed many others capable of feeling in their entirety. A man who had eternal drive to fight; to train, to overcome. A smart man.
“How do I make it better?” Madara asked softly.
“You tell him bluntly how you feel. He won’t understand any way else; he doesn’t know you as well as I do just yet. But he wants to. He’s always wanted to.”
Or;
Tobirama makes a mistake that draws Madara out of his house.

Summary
Tobirama was fairly certain that when Hashirama had agreed that it was a good idea to hold an inter-clan marriage hunt in the newly created Training Ground Forty-four—already lovingly nicknamed The Forest of Death—he had not imagined that Tobirama would volunteer as the Senju candidate. Though, Tobirama himself had not imagined that Madara would volunteer as the Uchiha candidate next.
