Summary
After helping pull Siffrin out of a spiral, Loop offered an idea, two in fact, for how they might assist him further. Their inviting hand would not change the ending to the play, they knew this well, but it did alter the course of the relationship between those two lonely travelers. Whether it changed for the better or worse however remains to be seen...
But it all started will nothing more than the simple touch of a hand.

Summary
Two Coins is an AU that takes place where Siffrin only ever gets the One Hat ending, never learning Loop's identity and the big Act 6 fight between the two of them never happening. Siffrin left his coin at the Favor Tree before departing and when Loop later came out of hiding, they took it, so... Loop has both coins.
The majority of this AU is set almost four years after the game ends. However, there are a few other events I wish to share that happened during the game's timeline that are different from how they could've gone in canon or entirely new.

Summary
Columbina tilts her head. “Has it had any physical effects? Please indulge my lack of sight.”
Illuga frowns. “I don’t have any scars from the Hunter now, if that’s what you mean,” he says. “It’s as if I’d never been attacked in the first place.”
Aether’s hand hesitantly lands on Illuga’s shoulder. “I didn’t want to stress you out more until we could talk to Columbina, but now that we’re here, you should probably look at your reflection,” he says quietly, carefully.
His body stiffens in an instant, and that feeling of wrong, wrong, wrong hits him again full force. He steps out from under Aether’s touch and staggers on autopilot toward the closest pool of water. Illuga crouches down at the edge, pushing his fingers into his hair for some sort of grounding as he leans forward, lantern knocking against his thigh. He catches sight of his reflection, and his world tilts on its axis.
--
Illuga comes back from the dead more than human. All he can think about as he gets used to his new not fae, not human normal is Flins—and maybe how much his newfound state and Flins' habits have in common.

Summary
“Finally,” they say, oblivious to Illuga’s mental slip and subsequent panic, “Are you Captain Illuga?”
“Oh, you’ve heard of me?”
“Someone,” they say tightly through their teeth as their hand, which holds Flins’ delicate lantern, begins to shake with what Illuga can only describe as inconceivable amounts of anger, “can’t stop talking about you!”
“How long has he been like this?”
“Two days,” the Traveler tells him.
"I commend your sacrifice."

Summary
“I meant it when I see you as the sun, I mean it. You're glowing, quite literally, master Illuga. It enchants me.”
Kuuhvakhi, Illuga realizes. Damned kuuhvakhi. “I really am quite plain,” he protests feebly. “I'm unsure what you're seeing.”
Flins’ grin sharpens. With glee, the fae sends shivers down Illuga's spine. “You're lying.”

Summary
Flins should really reign in his curiosity one of these days, and learn to not touch every relic he sees. Really, such things won't always come consequence free.
Or, have as adorable consequences. Such as turning into a mandragora.
A reminder: Purple mandragora are NOT for eating!

Summary
There is a pattern to Shadow Milk shifting forms.
Pure Vanilla started mapping it to better expect when he'd find a snake in his closet, or a porcupine on his chair.
It always comes back to perception; or Shadow Milks want to not be perceived at all.
While his beast loved his theatrics and ached desperately for his attention, did not he want others to perceive him. His time as the Fount, both a profound breach of personal boundaries and intense isolation, left his dear beast's emotional processing absolutely destroyed.
So he changed his form.
