Summary
Percy really didn’t expect that many of his enemies to write him a letter of recommendation, it was more of a joke that he threw down that note asking for it with an explanation of how it worked (and some griping about the Gods). So the several hundred letters delivered to him by a very deadly hellhound was extremely unexpected.

Somehow, while going through the set of books about his son's future exploits, Poseidon had gotten the idea that Percy would eventually shape up to become perfectly obedient, loyal, and respectful to the gods. So when a new arrival slammed the doors open and Annabeth Chase gasped in delight, all Poseidon could do was lean back in his seat with a wide grin on his face.
“Oh, for fuck’s sake,” Percy said, obviously exhausted.
Poseidon felt a bit faint, and he vaguely recognized the demigods sharing popcorn at their feet.

Summary
Demigod dreams were useful! They gave Percy warnings and insight on what threats were coming up. But more than that, demigod dreams were really annoying. I mean, regular nightmares sucked, but your evil grandpa sending personalized death threats to your sleep was even worse.
Although, sometimes Percy's demigod dreams were even stranger than they were supposed to be - he tended to interrupt conversations he wasn't supposed to (and didn't want to) hear. Case in point; Percy overhearing Kronos bicker with his siblings for the uptempth time.
Or; Hyperion can't decide if he wants to laugh or scream, Krios is adopting Percy, Kronos is amused, and Percy is just really tired

He eyes her form as he approaches, though human she may appear, her skin tone still maintains the light teal blue. Bruises on such a skin tone show up purple of various shades. Hand prints litter her arms, as the demi-child sits carefully at her side he catches sight of the imprint around her neck, Percy feels his chest tighten as memories better left in the past resurface before he can stop them. There are imprints of all five fingers, the palm defined, someone had grabbed his sister by the throat and meant for it to harm her.

The ocean was no where to reach. He had never been completely without it before, and the ache of that haunted him. And it haunted him in part because he saw that same pain in the eyes of Dionysus every time he stepped into camp.
