Get up! The voice in Julien’s head sounds like his own, just a little bit darker, a little bit colder. Julien feels himself shiver, the words dispelling some of the comforting warmth. Grab your rapier and strike him where his heart once was. Stuff his mouth with garlic and roses. He can’t have you! You’re mine! You’re mine! You’re—“
“Shhhh.” Occtis says, as if he can hear Julien’s thoughts. He sits on the edge of the bed, rolling up one of his shirt sleeves. “It’s all right. You’ll feel much better in a minute.” He raises his own wrist to his mouth, and Julien sees a glimpse of teeth that he could have sworn hadn’t been that sharp a moment ago before Occtis bites down. The blood that oozes from the bite mark when Occtis takes his wrist away is thick, looking black in the low light of the room’s single lantern. “Here you go,” he says softly, and then he’s pressing his wrist to Julien’s mouth.

Summary
He intends to use Occtis as bait. He's said as much to his face. They are not friends. They are not comrades. They are barely allies, and most days, the ice-cold silence between them makes even that label seem deeply laughable. He is treating Occtis like a threat, like a stick of blackpowder that might explode at any moment.
It's not inaccurate. Not on the logistical level, obviously. His father and brother could be planning anything with his heart; Occtis wouldn't damn well know. But it's not inaccurate on the personal level, either. It's more accurate than Sir Julien really seems to understand.
Exploding sounds violent, and dangerous, and warm. It might be nice to find some way to explode.
Occtis Tachonis is in dire need of a distraction.
Surely an ill-advised hookup with Sir Julien Davinos should do the trick.Series

It’s only because he can hear her heels come up behind him that Julien doesn’t startle when he feels slender fingers in his hair, combing through his dark curls. “He’s so unfairly pretty, isn’t he?” she asks.
For a moment, Julien thinks she’s speaking to him, about Thjazi, and his entire thought process comes to a screeching halt as he attempts to figure out what the fuck to say to that. Until the orc gives his wife a sort of mock-toast, and he realizes Aranessa was talking about him.This is a complete crackpairing but I just had to. I mean c'mon, they're all hot, I love some good hate sex and some unrequited feelings, the idea just HAD to be done.
