seven years late, but so SO glad i found this fic holyyyyy shit.
genuinely, i think, one of the best IT fics i've ever read. im SUCHHH a sucker for the losers having their own kind of eldritch magic (oh the shining, how i love thee), and also its just so so well written?? also i love the whole concept of richie having to be in a murder trial, cuz i never see that in post IT chapter 2 fics (that also include eddie living)
i havent read the other installments in this series yet, but i am SO excited to. as of now though, im under the impression that this specifically is the best written IT fic I have ever read and will ever read.
(funniest part of this fic was i missed the smut tags until halfway thru and decided to persevere anyway because the fic was that good (chronic smut hater lmao))

A little breathless, he lets out a strained, humorless laugh, once again exasperated with his bone-chilling fear towards this place. Opening his eyes, he meets his own gaze in the mirror he’s leaning against and shakes his head once, murmuring, “Get your shit together, Tozier. You’re fine.”
And then his reflection winks at him.

Letting his eyes flutter shut in order to avoid everyone’s gazes, Richie meekly explains, “I got another letter from Eds, okay? And I know he’s on vacation, doing all these cool things, and I know Hawaii is, like, super sunny and everything, but- guys. Guys.”
He stops, unable to force out the words he wants to. From somewhere off to his left, he hears Bill say, “Spit it out, man. What’s the big deal?”
“There was a polaroid in this letter,” Richie tells them. He would be embarrassed, but by this point they all know how smitten he is, so there’s no reason to be bashful as he practically whines out, “And he’s getting hotter.”
[In which Eddie goes on vacation and Richie can't deal with it.]

Richie calls each of the Losers at an ungodly hour of the morning. It has everything to do with boredom and nothing to do with his sky-rocketing fears of rejection and loneliness. Coincidentally, Eddie seems to be blowing him off, which is- you know, not so great. It's all good, though. Richie is fine. But he has yet to manage to call him.
Alternatively, high schoolers scared of what life is bringing them, and the Losers trying to help.
