Summary
Searching for a way through an impassible region of space, Voyager receives an offer from a Delta Quadrant exploratory force: for the tech they need, they must send their first, second, and third-in-command on a mission through an abandoned city-planet from a long-ago age of empire. Cut off from contact with Voyager, Kathryn, Tuvok, and Chakotay set off alongside AI-created guides generated from their memories: three less-than-enthusiastic teenagers named Kathryn, Tuvok, and Chakotay.
But as obstacles mount and tempers flare, a supposedly straightforward mission becomes a perilous race against time when it becomes clear their hosts haven't told them everything. Voyager's command team past and present will have to work together to uncover the true nature of a city where buildings can be toppled by a word, danger summoned with a puzzle, and making peace with your younger self was never more literal.
