Or for animatronics, which he finds creepier than he would like to admit, or for large groups of children – to be honest, any children that aren’t Claudia, at least for periods of time longer than a birthday party — and so when Louis had first floated the idea of Disney World, he had been less than enthusiastic.
“But it’s in Florida,” he had said, dismayed.
“Yeah,” Louis had replied, “but Orlando is pretty gay-friendly, and the parks definitely are. ‘Sides, we live in Louisiana, we can’t really talk.”
Lestat had really meant that the humidity would be murder on his hair, but he had allowed Louis to think that homophobia was his primary concern.
The de Pointe du Lac de Lioncourts take Disney World.
(The intense tags are for references to Lestat’s and Louis’s own terrible childhoods: the worst thing that happens in this fic is someone mildly freaking out on a rollercoaster. Guess who.)
