Both Lila and Five straightened up.
“She can blink,” Five said. “Your sister has powers. Do you have powers?”
“Nobody has powers, okay?” Teddy snapped, now alone and with no sign of his sister returning. “W-we’re all just ordinary!”
“Right…” Five stood up carefully, blocking his escape.
Gwen Poole was certain she was in the wrong timeline. Her real place had to be in a world filled with superheroes and villains and Avengers and X-Men, she just knew it. And that drove her to the Keepers, and eventually, the vestiges of the Umbrella Academy.
Little does she know, there were reasons she was being cordoned off this way. Her brother knows, but he's not inclined to tell her. Their world is worse off for it, but who cares about a single world within a world within the collective imagination of millions of creatives?
