He is well-aware of his personality, that he was born like this – loud, intense, passionate, excessive, and bold. Which means it’s even worse when it comes to his crush on Akaashi.
Bokuto asks Kuroo for advice on how to express his year-long feelings towards Akaashi. Kuroo advises him to subtly flirt with his best friend through the five love languages – and Bokuto is very, very bad at subtle.

Summary

That’s when Mikey decided he didn’t want to take after Shinichiro in this aspect as much as he loved his brother—running headfirst after that eventual heartache.
