Summary
Buck's fingers mindlessly come up from his sides to intertwine with Tommy's hand, now hanging leisurely over Buck's shoulder. That's when it catches Eddie's eyes—the headache-inducing shine of a sleek silver band, reflected in the light.
It's not blinding, too small for it, but it hits Eddie's head in a stabbing painful throb all the same. He tries to blink the dizziness away, to no avail.
He watches as Tommy whispers something into Buck's ear, smug lips shaping around the name Evan in a way that sounds entirely off to Eddie in tone, even lacking the sound of it. Watches as Buck chuckles, turning his head to press a quick peck to the other man's lips. Watches as Tommy grins and kisses him back, with the weight of metal binding him down.
Or: Buck gets engaged to Tommy. Eddie has some feelings about that. It gets messy.

Summary
His fingers curl around the half-moon shape, bringing down the knife in a repetitive motion. He's done it a million times before. Dicing onions, dying inside. It should be easy.
Eddie is watching him intently. “Thanks for taking care of the house. You didn't have to do that.“
“Yeah no, of course. I didn't want you to worry about it. There's nothing I wouldn't do to help you get back to him,“ Buck states, simply, because it's true.
He watches his best friend's adams apple bob, swallowing hard. “Yeah.“ Eddie's shoulders tense. “Yeah, I know.“
There's really no reason for the knife to slip, he's careful. He learned to be careful ages ago. It doesn't matter. He still can't do it right. It doesn't spare him. It never seems to.

Summary
The silence is loud in the confined space. There's something brewing in this car, in the noise of downtown LA not filtered by any hum of the radio, surrendering them to clouded gray thundering through dark skies. Buck knows it will come down soon, lighting always strikes twice with him.
He comes to a halt after a few minutes. Eddie's rigid expression is illuminated in traffic light red. The heat of it travels into a hand on Buck's thigh.
The light turns green. Eddie doesn't move his hand. He drives.

Summary
roy & mia bonding through archery, food, and fucked up pasts
---Roy rubs his eyes then flops his head onto the table dramatically, his hair just long enough to curtain around him and rest against the table. As a final, killing blow, she adds, “Have you seen the art piece ‘You construct intricate rituals which allow you to touch the skin of other men?’ I’m starting to think it was based on you.”
Roy groans into the table, kicking her shin softly. “Okay, I get it,” his voice is verging on whining, “I already have to deal with Ollie telling me I ‘counteract my complicated relationship with my sexual identity with hypermasculine posturing.’ You don’t gotta start on it too.”

Summary
“So I found this waterfall,” Roy said, slinging his leg over the chair and crossing his arms over the back of it, watching Dick intently.
Dick just hummed, not even taking his eyes off the screen. His posture was terrible, which meant he was tired as fuck as he tapped at the keyboard.
“I said–”
“I heard you Roy,” Dick said, still not looking over. “So what? We see stuff like that all the time.”

Dick grieves; and it shouldn’t be, but Tim absentmindedly thinks it’s beautiful—the way he shatters, the way he silently implodes only to deafeningly explode.

Summary
Shaggy-dog, noun:
An extremely long winded story, anecdote or joke, that – despite its excessive narration – terminates in an anticlimax. That is to say, that preconceived notions of typical story structure is, in itself, an undoing. That is to say, that the human desire for closure is nothing but a comedic device meant to humiliate and infuriate.

In which Roy considers the past 15 years and the concept of inevitability.
