There Sae was, unconscious on the bed. His body looks smaller somehow, swallowed by the crisp white sheets and the maze of wires and tubes surrounding him. Bandages are wrapped around the side of his head, stained faintly with dried blood. His skin is pale, almost sickly, and there are bruises scattered along his arms, neck, and face. It felt wrong to look at.
This couldn’t be his brother. No, it just couldn’t.
After Sae jumps from his balcony and falls into a coma, Rin is left to pick up the pieces while trying to figure out where his relationship stands with his brother. He also begins to learn what it means to lean on others, and that healing doesn’t have to be done alone.

The only thing Hawks knows at this moment is pain. All consuming, unending pain. Really, agony is a more appropriate word. It’s suffocating, mind-numbing. He can’t think, can hardly see, can’t hear at all- he’s never been hurt so terribly.
All For One has vanished from sight, he doesn’t know where. He doesn’t know if they’ve won, and really, he doesn’t care. He can’t care. He can’t do much of anything.
But… he can hear, actually. He can hear something a few feet away from him, a huffing, whining sound. It’s high pitched, young, and vaguely resembles a bird’s chirp. His throat rumbles with a responsive bird noise, but it comes out as a warbled cough.

Dabi had all but ripped Hawks to shreds, Aizawa has since seen the broadcast, as has the rest of the world, and it’s truly brutal. He’d flayed Hawks’ backstory open for the whole world to see, taking any bit of privacy the hero had ever had.
The internet has been going crazy for the past three days, raking Hawks’ real name through the mud, dredging up anything they can about his past and his family, finding a plethora of information without really having to dig at all.
