It’s not like Kara deliberately sets out to make her life harder than it should be. It’s not her fault that she’s excitable, okay, and she forgets things sometimes and maybe those things should not be forgotten under any circumstances. Maybe those things include, well, housing forms, which as it turns out are super important to submit on time if she wants to not be homeless on her sophomore year of college.
Her sister’s going to give her so much crap about this.
Alternatively: in which Kara forgot to fill out the housing form and was left with no choice but to live in the most exclusive apartment on campus.

“I could be your donor,” Adora speaks so quietly and unexpectedly that Catra initially thinks she may have misheard, “You could do it all at home. Then you wouldn’t have to wait.”
“Adora, I wouldn’t expect you to do that,” Catra’s so shocked that she surprises herself when she manages to respond at all, “Can you even do it, after the HRT?”
“Maybe,” Adora shrugs, “We could try. We’d have to do it soon though, there’s only three weeks until my surgery.”

“How do you make this happen?”
“Me?!?!"
“Yes,” Glimmer sighed. “You’re the only one who knows them both.”
“The most I’ve ever said to Adora was ‘does this print double-sided?’ And my friend-” Bow paused. He didn’t really need to share any private details about the most fiercely private person he knew. “She hasn’t consented to this. I mean, no one has consented to any of this.”
“Because they don’t know about it! But if they did, and they had chose this, they’d be ecstatic.”
Bow felt his face crinkle at the brow. “So basically if every single thing was different about the circumstances?”
Glimmer narrowed her eyes. “Listen. I did a very misguided but well-meaning thing. And I think it was actually genius. So you’re going to help me fix it. Okay?”
Sometimes you try to do a good thing and end up catfishing your best friend for her own good. Glimmer knows that's not the best way to handle a problem but she's got this! Bow's here to help! He even knows the random girl whose photos she (accidentally?) used and, while he thinks Catra and Adora absolutely should stay at least one county apart at all times for everyone's safety, Glimmer (and the universe) has other plans.

"You did say I was invited in,” the blonde says with a smile, shifting in the chair. Her sweater jingles.
Catra takes an automatic step back. "You're not Santa." She realizes how stupid that sounds as the words leave her mouth, and tries to recover. "You’re a trespasser."
She shakes her head. "No, you specifically said Santa could come to talk to you. So here I am." She grins broadly, putting Melog down gently.
"Wait—that's why? The gifts and everything?" This lady is responsible for all of the thoughtful gestures and all the restless nights puzzling over the impossible? The blonde nods her head, her ridiculous ponytail bobbing. "I don't believe you."
In one fluid motion, she pulls a Santa hat off the table next to her and jams it onto her head, giving Catra a cocky grin. “How about now?”
“Still no.”
"Figures."

“It’s not that funny!”
Adam clutches his sides, and Adora can practically see his diaphragm shaking. “Oh my gods, ‘Dor, it really, really is.”
The conversation had started out well enough. Adora had mentioned she was going to bring a girl to his wedding if he was okay with it. Adam had said of course it was okay, and then for some reason mentioned how proud he was of her for figuring herself out. Adora quickly clarified that she was not, in fact, gay, and that’s when the laughing had started.

Adora loves her family. She really does. But they can be a little homophobic at times. So Adora comes up with the perfect plan: she's going to bring a woman to her brother's wedding. And who better than Catra, from her rugby team? After all, Catra is... basically perfect. If Adora were into women, it would totally make sense that she'd be into Catra. She's just an ally, obviously, but like... even Adora knows Catra would be a great girlfriend.
This prank is going to be perfect.

"These stretch marks are driving me crazy," Catra murmurs as she tries to look at the underside of her belly. She can't get the angle right. When she runs her hands there, she can feel the differently textured skin. "No matter how much I moisturize it's never enough." She complains.
"Come here." Adora beckons her over. She puts her hands under Catra's belly, lifting the weight there.
She lets out a deep sigh at the release of pressure. "You know this doesn't help with the stretch marks, right?"
Adora grins. "Oh, I know. I'm just sticking to the things I can fix."
"This kid is so fucking heavy." Catra sighs as she leans into Adora.
"Shh! Little ears will hear." Adora says teasingly. "They can hear us now." She says more seriously, an awed look in her eyes. She looks down at Catra's torso, at the huge bump there. "You can hear me, right little buddy?" She looks dotingly at the bump as if she can see through it straight to the child growing there. "We're going to be best friends." She promises.

“Are you gonna help me with this or not?” Adora asks, rising onto her tiptoes so she can actually reach the top of the sodding tree that Catra had warned was gonna be too tall to decorate without a step ladder.
“Not.” Catra replies from where she’s sprawled inelegantly over the couch. Her tail swaying languidly over the cushions.
Adora huffs lightly. Before, and it’s with an uncharacteristic level of caution, slipping the white and gold bauble in place on a branch above her head. “That’s not very helpful.”
“I never claimed to be,” Catra disputes, folding her arms. “Besides, you’re the one who wanted the tree, I didn’t sign up for any of this grunt work.”
Adora, ironically, grunts like she’s finally accepting the refusal. Which is a shame really, because Catra doesn’t think it would have taken much more for her to have rolled her eyes and joined her.

Summary
Well, perhaps Catra hadn’t heard. Or better yet, she thinks Adora was joking – it’s the kind of deadpan humour that Catra loves. Maybe she’ll crack up and praise the blonde’s unwavering wit, then they both sit too close with hot tea and gay-coded children’s shows while brainstorming realistic methods of saving money. And maybe that was optimistic, but Adora has often considered herself a lucky woman.
She turns to peek into the kitchen where Catra had stilled mid-pour. Rigid.
Fuck.
Adora does not consider herself a lucky woman.
OR: Catra and Adora are poor college students. Adora suggests they share a bed. Confessions ensue.
